The Edmund Rice Centre is a contemporary, purpose-built facility dedicated to Year 9 students and the innovative 9@RICE learning program - focused on Resilience, Innovation, Community, and Exploration. The new precinct consolidates all students onto a single campus, enhancing cohesion, safety, and educational efficiency.
Construction commenced in August 2023, following an 18-month build schedule designed for completion at the start of the 2025 school year. The $16 million facility includes science labs, general purpose classrooms, breakout learning areas, a food technology kitchen, art classroom, materials technology space, and media/communications room, along with an indoor sports court, tiered seating and outdoor learning courtyards.
The indoor spaces feature 230m² of Natralis Kookaburra, 850m²of Natralis Quokka and 325m² of Wallflex Cool White. These high quality flooring and walling products were carefully selected to contribute to the centre’s aesthetic appeal and functional resilience.
